Internet Marketing Gathering in Malaysia
This week, I received an email from Stuart Tan calling for an Internet Marketing Gathering in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia at his office in Taman Tun Dr Ismail on Monday evening.
Stuart brought along a few other Malaysian Internet Marketers like Edmund Loh, Vince Tan and Simon Leung from USA to share their internet marketing experences with the gathered group.
The gathering began with a short introduction from Stuart and the other internet marketers, followed by a brief intro by all attendees present.
Then Stuart started off a Q & A session with Edmund, Simon and Vince so that the attendees can get to know more about them.
Topics covered were:
- List building;
- Private Label Rights;
- Public Domain;
- Google Adwords, keyword traffic and quality score;
- Systems and processes;
- Search Engine Optimization;
- Social media;
- Video sites
After the session, some of us went off to have a late night snack with Stuart, Vince, Simon and Edmund as they haven’t had dinner after a four-hour long car drive from Singapore to reach Kuala Lumpur.
Overall, it was a small gathering of get-to-know experienced Internet Marketers session sharing what they know and I benefited alot from this. Stuart said this will definitely not be the last of these types of gathering but more in the coming months.

Malay Mail Published May Ong’s Blog Post
Malaysian newspaper, the Malay Mail came across my blog post at MalaysiaParenting blog and published the blog post titled Can A Man Survive On RM3000 Salary in Malaysia. Sheila Rahman of Malay Mail was generous and kind enough to let me in on the interview on the subject that I shared deeply with Malaysians. Everybody is feeling the pinch in higher costs of living. This came to effect since the price of raw oil keep on increasing from USD40.00 to USD130.00 per barrel and its affecting the whole world. More so on developing countries. I sympathize with families who are relying on only the male as the sole bread earner of his family. More so for large families with growing children. How are you managing?

How to Break Your Own Fear Factor with a Metal Tip Arrow
I have learnt how to break my own fear factor with a metal tip arrow exercise over the weekend at the Millionaire Mind Training by T. Harv Eker in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
Some of you may have done this breaking the arrow exercise at other motivation course and training but this was the first time for me.
I am not a fan of motivation seminars and training but I still went ahead to do this.
It started out with the helpers giving out 4,800 metal tip wood arrows to each of us. We were required to get in a group of tens. The group leader would help us to place the arrow tip on the softest part of the base of our throat. The arrow has to be held horizontally.
We are to stand with our right foot anchored to the ground and the left foot behind us to grip ourself firmly holding the arrow with both hands. Then I had to lean forward slowly until I broke the arrow into two or more parts.
It was the scariest exercise I have ever done in my life and was I scared sh*t out of my pants. (P/S: I did not ‘piss’ in it).
Oh …. we have to write one or two of our most feared factor on the tip of the arrow before we split the arrow into half.
