I have been an internet marketer for about 2 years now and I have hands-on experience that I can share with newbies, beginners or to-be alike. I actually started off the learning curve by creating my first 1-page website using Microsoft Frontpage web editor or HTML promoting an affiliate physical product online.
From there, I graduated to creating a 10-page static website, with content, reviews of some products and recommendation. Now, I have reached a stage where I can actually share more of my online internet marketing experience through organizing workshops to teach newbies how to bring their offline business online.
This site has been online for about 2 years now, and I felt this site requires abit more interaction from readers and subscribers alike. So I installed a Wordpress blog, to replace my static website, and to add in some fancy plug-ins and RSS feeds to adapt to Web 2.0. The list goes on, as this site improves itself.
Online marketing or internet marketing is such a wide subject that stretches from beginner topics such as how to start an online business, how to make money online to being an affiliate, creating your own digital product to how to make money from blogs, how to earn from Google Adsense and search engine optimization. The list goes on forever.
For a Beginner Marketer:
You may have your own offline business and wishes to bring your offline business to wider audience with the intention of learning how to market on the internet or online. You may be operating as SOHO, an SME (small medium enterprise) or a hobbyst. At this level, you may want to explore all internet marketing concepts and understand what they mean, and how you can apply some of these concepts into your business. You may choose to learn by attending seminars or workshops and set-up your website to go online, with/without payment gateway.
For an Intermediate Marketer:
By now you may have gained some experience on the internet by having your own website and start thinking of more ways to monetize it. You may have explored ways to make money online using blogs and adsense. If you do not have your own products yet at this stage, you may consider exploring being an affiliate/a reseller of other people’s products and start to earn some money online. However your online income at this stage may not be as lucrative as you would like it to be.
For an Advance marketer:
You would have your own website(s), have promoted products as an affiliate and now looking to add in your own products and brand it with your own name. You may be looking into purchasing resale rights, hire someone to create your own product or seek a joint venture with someone to launch a product with you. Have you heard that the “money is in the list”? The answer is Yes and No! The money is in the list provided you have a responsive list in the targeted market.
There you go, in a nutshell, this is what online internet marketing is all about. If you learn how to play it right, you will make alot of money regularly. If you are not playing it right now, do not give up! The journey is a long one and if you continue to travel it, you may find light at the end of this tunnel.
The future lies in your hands. If you choose to let it go, that future will go. If you choose to walk the path, you will certainly find a pot of gold in the end.
